Monographs generalize the standard notions of directed graphs by allowing edges of any length with free adjacencies. A zero-length edge represents a node, while a longer edge can be adjacent to any other edge, even to itself. The prefix mono- is justified by this unified view of nodes as edges and edges with unrestricted adjacencies, providing formal conciseness, where morphisms are characterized by a single equation. The suffix -graph is justified by the correspondence between finite ?-monographs and their graphical representations.

Monographs are universal with respect to graph structures and their respective algebras. They are equivalent to graph structures extended with ordering conventions in their operator names. Furthermore, categories of typed monographs are equivalent to their respective categories of algebras. Since various notions of directed graphs can be represented as monadic algebras, they can also be represented as typed monographs, which have two advantages over graph structures: they provide edge orientation and eliminate the need for operator names.

Algebraic transformations of monographs are comparable to those of standard graphs. Therefore, typed monographs can be simpler to handle than structured graph-based algebras, as illustrated in various applications. Representing oriented edges as sequences seems more natural than their standard representation as unstructured objects with multiple image functions. Thus, typed monographs emerge as a natural method for specifying graph structures.

Based on knowledge of these formal structures, at Q2BSTUDIO we apply mathematical models and advanced technological solutions to optimize processes across various industries. Our experience in software development, system integration, and custom solutions allows us to stay at the forefront of technological innovation, providing tools that facilitate the digital transformation of our clients.
