This article analyzes query optimization and embedding space analysis in the IFRP-T2P model using the KITTI360Pose dataset. In comparative tests with 16, 24 and 32 queries, it was observed that 24 queries offer the best localization recall, balancing discrimination and generalization to improve position retrieval in complex scenes.
The research shows that IFRP-T2P outperforms Text2Loc by generating a more discriminative and informative text-cell embedding space, which translates into greater accuracy in retrieval tasks. The embedding space analysis reveals more compact and separable clusters when using 24 specially designed queries, reducing false positives and improving robustness against variations in the environment.
The finding that 24 queries optimizes the recall rate illustrates how fine-tuning the query architecture can enhance the performance of neural networks in localization and perception applications. This approach is transferable to other vision and language tasks where text-space representation is critical.
