At Q2BSTUDIO, a leading company in development and technology services, we explore the power of Diffbot's Knowledge Graph, a tool designed to put global knowledge at your fingertips through advanced data and relationship-based searches.
This system allows you to perform complex queries on billions of data points through a simple API. In our research, we decided to leverage this technology to develop an automated news analysis tool related to specific products.
To begin, we designed our query using Diffbot's visual tool. We selected 'Article' as the entity type, since our goal was to analyze news about a particular product. We applied advanced filters using precise tags to obtain more relevant results compared to a simple text filter.
We also used sorting options to display the most recent articles and added additional filters, such as English language and negative sentiment analysis. We adjusted the query to include only recent articles and finally obtained a relevant set of results.
Once the query was designed, we implemented the code in Python to automate data retrieval from Diffbot. Through an API request, we extract relevant information from each article, including the title, publication date, summary, author, source site, and sentiment score.
To improve automation, we integrated the query into a dynamic workflow using Pipedream. We configured an automated weekly execution that retrieves the results, analyzes them, and sends us a detailed report by email. This process ensures we are always aware of any negative news related to our product.
