My master's thesis turned into a three-year adventure creating njoyKidz, a studio that published more than 30 ad-free educational games for children under six years old. What began as an idea inspired by a mother and her son I saw on a bus grew into an investor-backed startup that combined fun gameplay with solid pedagogical learning. Our proposal prioritized game design focused on cognitive, social, and emotional development, and centered on mechanics such as puzzles and memory games that strengthen problem-solving and memory.
Research on game-based learning supports this direction: studies show that well-designed games can support executive functions and that children who play video games under supervision improve in impulse control and working memory according to PMC and NIH reports. With the guidance of parents and educators, that scientific evidence became the heart of njoyKidz and the compass for creating safe and effective experiences for early childhood.
