At first I enrolled in the specialization out of curiosity; I had seen it recommended everywhere and wanted to learn about its structure.
And what a surprise: it turned out to be a solid path that takes you from basic to intermediate skills in front-end development.
About the specialization: these professional programs on Coursera hold the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation FIBAA certification and in some cases can count as academic credits. The program contains approximately 212 hours of learning distributed across 9 courses.
What I liked most: short, clear videos that get straight to the point, reading materials to go deeper when desired, quizzes to reinforce knowledge, an integrated code editor for hands-on practice, a very useful AI Coach for reviewing topics, and a final project that brings together everything learned.
Some drawbacks: the course forums feel somewhat empty and sometimes irrelevant contributions appear, there is no direct feedback from mentors, and project reviews are peer-based, which in theory is good but in practice includes empty submissions or copies of other people's work; it seems some participate only for the certificate and not for the learning.
Conclusion: it remains an excellent starting point if you want to get into front-end development. That said, make sure you truly create and explore; growth comes from practicing and building beyond the course material.
