These figures come at the cost of larger size, more weight, and a narrower field of view, but they offer images so detailed they could approach a kind of visual Turing test.
At the other end are the Boba 3 and Boba 3 VR models, which seek total immersion of the human eye with a huge field of view of 180 degrees by 120 degrees and 4K screens per eye, improving on the 3K per eye of the Boba 2. These are laboratory demonstrations that may never reach the mass market, but they offer an exciting preview of the next generation of ultra-wide, high-fidelity VR.
