Day 15 - Form to add a coffee plan: in this article we describe how to create an AddCoffeePlan component and how to integrate it into the PlanPicker component in three popular frameworks: Vue 3, SvelteKit and Angular 19. We also include practical recommendations and how these pieces fit into custom software projects and custom applications offered by Q2BSTUDIO, specialists in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and aws and azure cloud services.

Content: Create AddCoffeePlan, Import AddCoffeePlan in PlanPicker, Conclusions, Resources and Github repositories.

Overview: the goal is to allow the user to add new coffee plans from a simple form. The AddCoffeePlan component manages the state of the text field, validates the input, disables the button until the input has at least five characters and communicates the new plan to the parent component through an event or property call. These patterns are applied equivalently in Vue, Svelte and Angular, adapting to the conventions of each framework.

Vue 3: create the components file AddCoffeePlan.vue and add scoped styles for the form. In the script setup define a newPlan reference to store the user input and define a newCoffeePlan emits that sends the already trimmed text to the parent component. Implement an addPlan function that validates the input, emits the event and clears the field. In the template bind the input with v-model.trim to newPlan, add a submit type button with disabled when newPlan.length is less than 5 and handle submit.prevent so that the form does not reload the page. In PlanPicker import AddCoffeePlan and listen for the newCoffeePlan event to add the new plan to the plans array, for example push or through a function that updates the state reactively.

SvelteKit: create the lib component add-coffee-plan.svelte with local styles. Use a reactive newPlan variable for the input value and an addPlan function that prevents the default form behavior, validates trim of newPlan, calls the function that has been passed from the parent component or dispatches an event, and finally clears newPlan. In the template use bind value on the input and disable the button if newPlan.length is less than 5. In PlanPicker import AddCoffeePlan and pass it an addCoffeePlan function that performs plans.push(plan) or the corresponding state update to keep the list synchronized.

Angular 19: generate the AddCoffeePlan component with Angular CLI and define styles in add-coffee-plan.component.css. In the component use a newPlan signal for the input state, export an addCoffeePlan output that emits strings and create an addPlan method that emits the value and resets newPlan. In the component template use ngSubmit for the form, ngModel for two-way binding and a [disabled] expression that evaluates newPlan().length less than 5. In PlanPicker import AddCoffeePlanComponent in the parent component imports, define a plans signal with initial values and an addPlan method that uses update to produce a new array with the added name. In the parent template place app-add-coffee-plan and handle the (addCoffeePlan) event with addPlan($event).

Common good practices: validate the input on the frontend with trim, disable actions if the value is insufficient, emit events or call parent functions to keep the business logic in the component that controls the collection, clear the state after submit and protect against duplicates or invalid inputs on the backend. These techniques help build robust custom software and reusable components for custom applications.

Integration with services and security: in real projects we consider persisting the new plans in a secure API, applying authentication and authorization, encryption in transit and at rest, and cybersecurity reviews. Q2BSTUDIO offers cybersecurity services and cloud architecture, for example deployments in aws and azure cloud services, to ensure that application data and user plans are managed with best practices.

Useful extensions: add additional server-side validation, implement duplicate control, integrate notifications or auditing, and leverage AI agents to suggest plan names based on usage patterns. Q2BSTUDIO can help integrate artificial intelligence and AI for businesses, creating AI agents that automate routine tasks and improve the user experience.

Benefits for business intelligence: storing and analyzing the added plans using tools such as Power BI allows generating insights about preferences and trends. Q2BSTUDIO offers business intelligence services and solutions with power bi to transform data into operational decisions.

Example of a workflow in a project: the frontend team implements AddCoffeePlan and PlanPicker; the backend API validates and persists the data; the security and compliance layer monitors access; cloud pipelines are integrated in aws and azure cloud services; finally the data is exploited with business intelligence services and dashboards in power bi.

Advantages of working with Q2BSTUDIO: custom software development, custom applications optimized for your business, specialists in artificial intelligence and AI for businesses, cybersecurity consulting, implementation in aws and azure cloud services, and business intelligence solutions with power bi and AI agents. Our approach covers from the idea to deployment and maintenance, ensuring quality, scalability and security.

Conclusions: we have described how to create an AddCoffeePlan component and how to integrate it into PlanPicker in Vue 3, SvelteKit and Angular 19. The main pattern consists of capturing the input, validating it, emitting or communicating the new value to the parent and updating the plans collection. These pieces are easily adaptable to custom applications and custom software that require integrations with artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and cloud services.
