The fundamental question we asked ourselves from first principles was simple: what is a workflow, really? The usual answer is that it is a series of tasks or a sequence of steps you build. We believe that is the wrong perspective.
A workflow is not a process you design; it is a problem to be solved. And once solved, it should stay solved.
If a workflow is a solved problem, then the tool's role should be to help solve it and remember the solution. But today that does not happen. Current tools often get in the way, forcing users to become system architects when all they want is an answer.
By studying how people use existing workflow products, we identified two clear sources of frustration. For non-technical users, the barrier to entry is enormous: they arrive with a concrete business need, such as tracking competitor prices, and run into a wall of abstract concepts and an interface that feels more like an exam than a solution. Cryptic error messages and a low-code promise that remains complex in practice lead to abandonment. For technical users, the initial obstacles are smaller, but they soon hit a performance ceiling: complex tasks or large data volumes slow down the system, pre-built connectors prove rigid, and debugging failures becomes a trial-and-error exercise.
Both profiles spend their time struggling with the tool instead of solving their problem. The tool has failed at its primary job.
If the goal is to go from a business need to a business outcome, why do we accept so many intermediate steps? Why not express the intention and let the system figure it out? This is not a futuristic utopia; it is a logical expectation for modern software: the burden of translating human intention into machine execution should fall on the machine.

Understand Act Remember This is the approach we propose. First, move from recognizing functions to understanding business goals: the user should be able to express a goal in natural language, such as finding AI startups that have received Series A funding and analyzing their value, without having to know they need a tracker or a specific connector. Second, once the intention is understood, the system should autonomously handle the acquire, analyze, and act cycle: plan the strategy, select the right tools, and execute. Third, and most importantly, when a task is completed successfully, the system should remember that execution path and turn it into a reusable, intelligent solution.
When an execution solidifies into a personal solution, a compounding effect occurs. Next time, execution time drops dramatically, and the solution learns with each use, adapting to preferences and business rules. Soon you not only have a solved problem, but a library of solutions that can interconnect: a trend analysis solution can feed a marketing content generation solution, for example. The system's value grows with every interaction.
This changes the measure of success: it is no longer having learned to use a complex tool, but rather owning a set of intelligent solutions that understand the business.
