A new malware campaign has been detected targeting edge devices from Cisco, ASUS, QNAP, and Synology with the aim of integrating them into a botnet called PolarEdge since late 2023.
The French cybersecurity company Sekoia has observed that unknown threat actors are exploiting the vulnerability CVE-2023-20118, which has a CVSS score of 6.5. This is a critical security flaw affecting Cisco Small Business devices, including the RV016, RV042, RV042G, RV082, and RV320 models.
