The cybercriminal group known as Space Pirates has been linked to a malicious campaign targeting information technology organizations in Russia. To do so, they have used a previously undocumented malware called LuckyStrike Agent.

This activity was detected in November 2024 by Solar, the cybersecurity division of the Russian state telecommunications company Rostelecom. The investigation has identified this operation under the name Erudite Mogwai.
