In a policy document published Wednesday, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Scale AI CEO Alexandr Wang, and Center for AI Safety Director Dan Hendrycks stated that the United States should not push for the development of artificial intelligence systems with 'superhuman' capabilities, also known as AGI, in the style of the Manhattan Project. The document, titled Superintelligence Strategy, argues that an aggressive strategy in this area could bring significant risks.
