Over the past year, I have dedicated a significant amount of time to understanding how different people and professions approach different problems. I have noticed that there is a fundamental confusion about what it truly means to solve a problem from various perspectives.
This confusion can lead to misunderstandings about how others are expected to approach problems and, in some cases, lead people to pursue careers where their way of solving problems does not align with their intrinsic motivations.

There are three key fallacies in problem solving that can affect how we face challenges:

Preservation is not the same as protection: Preservation consists of maintaining or improving the internal order of a system, while protection involves safeguarding it from external influences. Innovators must first be imitators: Success in imitation does not always translate into success in innovation.
