CODE AUDITING
From MVP to product: industrialization with criteria and plan
We audit your working prototype, identify what can be reused and what requires redesign, and map out the path to a real product with deadlines and priorities.
What is From MVP or prototype to real product?
An MVP got the job done: validated a business hypothesis, gained traction, or demonstrated technical feasibility. But the code that served to test an idea is rarely prepared to support real users, sustained load, security requirements, and long-term functional evolution. At Q2BSTUDIO we evaluate functional prototypes and MVPs to determine what can go into production as is, what needs partial refactoring and what needs to be redesigned from scratch, building a realistic and prioritized industrialization plan.
Our assessment covers multiple dimensions: code quality (technical debt, tests, documentation), architecture (scalability, coupling, separation of layers), security (authentication, encryption, secrets), infrastructure (hosting, CI/CD, monitoring), performance (response times, concurrency) and operations (logging, alerts, backups, recovery). Not all MVPs need intervention on all axes — the assessment identifies where the real risks are for the next step of growth.
The main deliverable is an industrialization plan in phases: what to do before the public launch (security, data, performance show-stoppers), what to do in the first 3 months (stabilization, testing, CI/CD) and what you can expect to scale (architecture optimization, stack migration if applicable). Each phase has effort estimates, dependencies, and acceptance criteria.
One of the most frequent mistakes is to assume that industrializing an MVP is simply adding tests and deploying it to a larger server. The reality is that many decisions of a prototype (database chosen for setup speed, simplified authentication, absence of API versioning, in-memory state) need to be rethought to support real production. Our job is to distinguish the shortcuts that can be maintained from those that are time bombs.
We also evaluated the alignment between product and technology: is the stack chosen for prototyping the right one for production? Does the available team have the skills to maintain and evolve what has been built? Does the infrastructure cost model scale linearly with user growth? If there are misalignments, we identify them early so that change decisions are made calmly, not under pressure from a pitch.
The service is technology agnostic: we evaluate MVPs on any stack (React, Vue, Angular, Node, Python, .NET, Ruby, Go, mobile) and with any hosting strategy (cloud, on-premise, PaaS). What matters is engineering judgment, not tool preference.
We do not issue product-readiness seals or certify maturity: we evaluate, inform, plan and, if contracted, accompany industrialization with our team or with the customer's team.
One of the key values of this service is objectivity: as external auditors, we have no bias towards preserving what exists (it was built by the current team) or rewriting (we would build it ourselves). We evaluate with data what is reusable, what is critical debt and what is an acceptable temporary decision, so that investment in industrialization is directed where it generates the most return.
