Security is one of the components of the world of Information Technology that affect all parts of a system, from a sensor or automatic machine, to a consumer device or a large datacenter. 2013 has been a year of great advances, and will also go down in history for the National Security Agency wiretapping scandal, which began in 2014 and continue to surprise the internet community worldwide and whose implications will be felt this year. Anyone facing IT has to keep security in mind, but the way we face it has changed over time, from when a simple password kept us safe to the present day when multi-factor authentication systems are required and point-to-point encryption, even within corporate networks, is beginning to be essential. We have reached the era of wearable computing, NFC (Near Field Communication) communications, connected homes and cars, mobile commerce, the omnipresence of mobile devices and the cloud, and a market, that of cybercrime, which moves more money than the drug trade and uses physical borders to evade the consequences of the digital crimes that are perpetrated. Taking all these aspects into account we have developed a photo gallery that collects the trends of the security market for this year, where in general terms a major security breach is expected every month and an increase in advanced attacks against mobile banking, as well as targeted attacks.
