A few weeks ago I noticed something curious: outside of the gaming environment, it is surprisingly difficult to have voice conversations with new people.
Discord works very well but requires servers, invitations, and friend lists, and most chat platforms for strangers prioritize video and carry the security issues we already know about.
I started experimenting with a simple idea: a button that, when pressed, instantly connects you to a 1-on-1 voice conversation with a random person, no video, no large public rooms, and no need to manage entire communities.
From that idea, Whisperly was born, an experience designed to be clean and straightforward: voice only, random 1-on-1 pairings, and no registration in the beta, with the intention of offering a safe and frictionless way to meet people, practice languages, or simply chat whenever you feel like it.
